Yong Woo An is an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Human Sciences in the Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Michigan State University in 2009; a master of science degree in Athletic Training at the University of Florida in 2011; and a doctoral degree in Biomechanics and Movement Science (BIOMS) program at the University of Delaware in 2016. His work focuses on the role of the brain in neuromechanical links between cognition, emotion, and joint instability.

HHSC 360: Upper Extremity Evaluation

Upper extremity evaluation is designed to develop the knowledge and skills related to the recognition, assessment/evaluation, and appropriate medical referral of individuals with athletic injuries to the upper extremity, head, cervical regions, and thoracic regions.

HHSC 461: Therapeutic Rehabilitation in Sports Medicine

Instructions on how to design, implement, and supervise rehabilitation programs for sports-related injuries and conditions. Theoretical and clinical basis for the use of therapeutic exercises, basic biomechanics, indications, contraindications, and proper application of exercises in therapeutic rehabilitation.
