Biography

Father Michael Courey born in Cleveland, Ohio, where he met his wife Maria (nee Tenekedes). Together they have four adult children and four grandchildren. In addition to full time ministry as a Greek Orthodox priest since 1986, Father Michael enjoys serving on the Advisory Board of the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Loyola Marymount University, as well as working as a lecturer, symposium speaker, visual artist and iconographer. He currently is painting icons for St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church in San Juan Capistrano.
