Biography
Jennifer D. Walker, associate professor and program director of special education in the College of Education, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in special education. Her research interests include positive behavioral intervention supports (PBIS), students with emotional and behavioral disabilities, social skill instruction, teacher education, and exclusionary discipline. She has presented nationally and is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the Teacher Educator Division of CEC, and the Council for Learning Disabilities. Dr. Walker has published a textbook, several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on PBIS, student engagement and tiered interventions.
